It’s here with us–as it has always been–the humble birth of a Saviour that brought the world together. More than any other event in history, this Holy moment has redeemed humanity and given meaning to life.As families gather together to celebrate the mercies of God on their lives, and churches and nations congregate to toast the arrival of a child who was God in pre-existence (John 8:58), let’s not be in haste to see the season through; we should let the season see through us.
The essence of Christmas is the assurance of hope, the promise of grace and the infinite
favour of God upon our lives. From the middle of the year when we came together as new church movement, to the growing numbers that today form our congregation, we in Faithway Baptist Church have seen the hand of God move in a supernatural way. The Lord has been good to us.
The years ahead hold a lot of promise for us in many areas of our development. In the midst of all the doubts and fears that assail the world, we hope to remain a formidable assembly of believers equipped to fulfill our mandate of spreading the Word of God and restoring self-worth to humanity.
As we make merry and share our homes with family and friends, the greatest gift we can offer our loved ones is a deeper knowledge of the Lord. Remember, God gave us our first gift – the gift of life.
